The EAC region makes bold steps to address challenges arising from the use of Alcohol, Drugs and Other substances by proposing a broad framework within which all stakeholders in the region will contribute to the reduction of the negative consequences caused by Alcohol, drugs and other substance used. The broad framework is presented as the “Draft EAC Regional Policy on Alcohol, Drugs and Other substance Use” and this is to be discussed during the upcoming 18th Sectoral Council of Ministers of Health scheduled for 21st to 26th March, 2019 at the Serena Hotel, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
